Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles were courtside to cheer on the Brooklyn Nets at their home
opener on Saturday night at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Something else made a
debut, too - Beyoncé showed off new bangs.
The matchup against the Toronto Raptors was meant to be the Nets' second-ever
home game. However, in the wake of superstorm Sandy, Mayor Michael
Bloomberg and the NBA decided to postpone last Thursday's planned opener
against the New York Knicks. Jay-Z and Beyoncé brought a bit of good luck to
the Nets, who ended up beating the visiting Raptors 107 to 100, and were even
caught up in a "Brooklyn!" cheer.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z may be all about basketball at the moment, but she'll have
football to focus on soon enough. Beyoncé's performing at the 2013 Super Bowl,
which is scheduled for Feb. 3 in New Orleans.
